Pastoral Care

The school wishes all students to feel cared for and valued and aims to provide pastoral care which encourages and reinforces this.

Pastoral care is the system the school adopts to encourage students to develop as rounded persons. It complements a student’s academic, physical and religious education, and oversees the student’s overall progress in these areas.

It is concerned primarily with a student’s personal and social development. It is therefore concerned also with a student’s conduct in school, monitoring his/her academic work and encouraging the highest standards, developing his/her character, observing his/her relationship to other students, enforcing discipline and offering guidance and counselling.

All students should have a named teacher who is primarily responsible for their pastoral care. For further information, please refer to the school's pastoral care policy.
